The door creaked open with such a hollow screech that it echoed through the night life of the apartments, that was currently nonexistent. Unique to most apartments, there was no one walking in and out of their rooms, dressed for parties in skimpy dresses, or preparing for a big dinner or even going to their night job. Everyone was busy. Mending wounds that would stay with them forever. He stepped into the darkness of the room. Shards of metal and wire still littered the floor and crackled with each step he took. Someone had had the courtesy to leave a bed just for him. One that would need to be cleared of the pipes, screws, and bolts that were laying on it currently. He pressed a palm to the side of his door and instantly the dim lights came on. He flinched, as if the light would burn his skin from his body. He was so unaccostumed to things so bright, he was more of a night dweller, but he didn't truly have night vision.

He was wearing his standard attire for the evening. Black. It was a color that had so much meaning, but had such bad credit. It wasn't a color of evil. It was a color of boldness and strength. His long sleeved black shirt with jeans that seemed to be made of nylon. A uniform that exemplified his rather pleasing physique. And at the same time, made his hair and eyes stand out above normal. His rather dark features seemed only that much more menacing in the muted glow of his newfound abode. Darkness swirled around his feet, contorting itself into what looked like a demonic entity. It leaned against the wall, truly pasted it against it. It looked at Loki with it's wide maw and jagged teeth. It's cackle was thankfully muted. As he ignored it. The shape seemed to come with the power. He had identified it as a seperate body of his own, and since it was part of him, he could hear it talking to him. It had the most strength at the dead of night.

He hefted the dufflebag from around his shoulder and dropped it into the air, but before it touched the ground, shadows that had retreated in the shadows before they were vanquished by the light leaped to catch the fallen article. Clasping it in disgustingly black tendrils and making a sound like a gurgling beast. He let the shadows recede slowly, moving the dufflebag to a corner of the room. The door closed behind him as he took yet another step into the room, the sharp, metallic tang of the piercing in his tongue gave him some comfort in this new environment. He had formerly been sharing a room, while the 'spaceship' was being constructed. The moment it had been finished he knew it was his room for the taking. That same day, the spaceship had taken off. Good riddance, was Loki's sentiment, he didn't like the Spacewalkers. As they were being called nowadays.

He twisted a hand, and a swathe of shadows swirled around the equipment stashed on the bed, in a movement similar to that of a nod, the flew from the bed and hit the ground. While he was usually a neat freak, he didn't have the time or motivation to clean right now. He only wanted to gather his thoughts, momentarily. He'd be right as rain in a moment. He sat down on the bed, gathering his strength for the upcoming night. He stayed up all night, and slept during the day, his unusual sleeping patterns made it hard to meet people, but gave him so much more time to use his powers. Which had developed in might. But still took the same toll on him. A problem that made him only slightly resent having these powers. But he'd get the hang of them eventually... Eventually... How much time was that?

The demon shape moved across the wall glaring at him from across the room. It had shrunken in size, because of the light. He always had his light on, no matter what. Not because he was afraid of the dark, he was the dark in a sense, but because he didn't want the nightmarish jackal to have any sort of power of him. "You can trust me..." it murmured to him in his mind. That voice. It was so horrible and twisted. Like an old mans but much more raspier and deep throated. It had the same tone of a hyenas wicked laughter. "Be quiet..." he replied in the same bored tone he answered every order or question he was given. "We should work together, you and I... You must be so ambitious with that huge brain of yours." He rolled his eyes. "Flattery will get you nowhere..." It must have seemed odd to talk to yourself within the sanctity of your own room. But to Loki it was perfectly normal.

Bandaged feet ambled down the dark hallway. A lone figure was going on its way, seeming perfectly at ease. But the air around it wisped occasionally. A hand swatted at one that ran into the blonde tendrils on its head, revealing more white wrappings. It stopped suddenly and looked over a door. There was a dim light coming in from the other side, brightening the green on the lens. A knock sounded off the door and the figure stood there, relaxed. But only in appearance. This human body was always coiled to strike at any given moment. And when sounds of a conversation was going on in the old spaceship building room she had a right to be wary. Actually, she felt a need to check the surveillance camera she knew would be in there. She had been finding them throughout the entire apartments. Though that would make her feel like him and that was a major n-o.

Spastic sparks threw the almost completely dark hallway into harsh relief. The occasional flash of light lit up Lobo's face. On it was an expression of calm benevolence. Her eyes, however, were a different story. Her pupils were dilated, making her look almost robotic. She was tired. It was only a few hours ago that she had arrived on Sigma. Her steps were like her eyes, robotic. What the? A frightning shape loomed over a door. It was, of course, another person. Lobo shook her head. Of course it was another person. She walked past the strangly bandaged person at the door, hearing something on her way. Someone talking inside the door, although it appeared that they were speaking to themselves. Have I just stepped into a mental institute?

"I could kill you right now, and you know what? No one would say a thing. You are the freak. They'll just think you commited suicide." said the demon. Loki didn't voice his opinion for the freaky shadow demon to stop. It of course, would take it as sign weakness and only get more and more rough with it's aggressive attitude. "Stop... I can hear something..." Stop what? What was this shadow demon talking about. He sighed, getting to his feet, his shadow huddling, flat on the ground after him. He opened the door almost instantly, and what he saw, was predictably people. So that's what his little monster had been talking about. Two girls. He could tell almost instantly by their 'dainty' features. He looked at them with a quick, but steady surveying glance. With a shrug of his shoulders, he continued forward, the movements of his shadow stalker danced behind. The strange and creepy face mocked the two girls, though Loki ignored it.

A bandaged hand moved slightly at the person walking past. Cheryl looked at the other human girl and frowned internally. Why was it that there were humans she still didn’t even know the names of? Not like it mattered though. She was just a regular girl. And besides the sound of the door opening and a dim light flooding the dark hallway was more interesting than some random person. The lens on her glasses went to normal colors, seeing as the light turned of the night vision. Another nameless human, to no surprise. But movement behind him obviously took her attention. There was some freaky shadow. Did she care? Not in the slightest bit. It was probably something to do with his power. None of her concern really. Awkwardly just standing around wasn’t very. . .fun. What to do, what to d-. A slight grumbling of her belly interrupted her thoughts. “By chance, do you have any food?”

OOC: Was that the most failsome post ever, or what? XD

Lobo's eyes widened slightly in surprise. The door had swung open to reveal a teenage boy. The shadow behind him is what caught her eye. It was for the most part normal, only slightly distorted, twisted. It made her stop walking, just for a moment. Her mouth opened as if to say something, but then closed again without a sound. She continued on her merry way...
