Game had just woken up early. It was a big deal because he never woke up early. And when he did, he still wasn't dressed until late in the afternoon, and by then he wasn't doing anything important. So he would just go back to sleep. But now he actually had something to do this early in the morning. The Spaceship. It had been finished three days ago, and now was the day of the mission, he had planned for everything they could need, and with the help of some more 'intelligent' of his roommates, he had analyzed just how far they could go through the galaxy without running out of gas, or food. And now, all he needed to do was collect his crewmates and be on his merry way. It was early though. So early, the sun hadn't even woken up yet. The halls of the apartment were still dark, but he didn't care. They needed to leave soon, if they wanted to make sure some of the humans didn't catch their escape. I.E. Cheryl. There were many, many reasons why he didn't want her coming along, too many to count.

Currently, he was looking for one of the most important people that would be on this mission. Raevyn. He had heard that she was a healer. Someone extremely useful in a dangerous mission like that. She was like a gift from God or something. But convincing her would be the tough part. He had actually hoped she would be at the party last night, he was slightly glad she wasn’t. But now, his plans would be delayed. Raevyn’s character showed when she didn’t attend the party. It showed that she didn’t like being around people for one thing, and a trip into space would mean being around tons of people all at once. Explaining that would be a hard one. But he’d find a way, even if he had to drag her there, kicking and screaming. He slowly made his way towards the girls door, scratching at the purple marks under his eyes that signified insomnia. He hadn’t slept in weeks. And the short times he did sleep were only temporary, and plagued with nightmares. He shook himself awake, knowing he would need to be fully conscious for the task at hand.

He looked at the door and with a wave of his hand, transferred his control over technology into the control of door. Instantly, a green light signified that it had been unlocked and a loud woosh sent it open. He looked inside of the room with a surveying glare. “Yo! Raevyn or whatever your name is. Get up.”

Raevyn wasn’t sleeping. No, in fact, she was staring out an open window, doing exactly what she told herself not to. Dwelling on the past. Letting it cover her in grief. She had sat, unmoving, with her head on her knees, for the past two hours, focusing on nothing but that. Well, technically, the two hours had been interrupted once; to allow her a full five minutes of rage. Yeah. Chucking glass decorations at the wall, sending shards of sharp matter flying back at her bare arms, general anger-screams, and a whole bunch of cursing. She would be surprised if no one heard her, the racket she was making. Frankly, she didn’t care. Like usual, out of habit probably, Raevyn had awoken at four-thirty on the dot, which gave her a timely two and a half hours to sleep.

The girl had arrived yesterday morning, completely scarless, without a single bruise, and a web of wild and untamed hair. She had scarcely talked to anyone since, and at most times, the words were no less than hostile. She had kept a cautious stance, and had slept only when she could no longer force her eyelids open. These people could be murderers! And although she could very well heal herself, she couldn’t exactly grow back a head. Well, hey? What did you expect from a girl who’s last encounter with a human was a stranger shoving her into a rocket and her mother being ripped to pieces?

And now, back turned the door, and recounting that very moment, the always strong girl was having issues keeping the flood of tears from her eyes. She scolded herself for being so soft. Being soft meant death on this alien planet. It meant receiving injuries that took a full day to heal. That was not a risk she was ever willing to take. She draped her hair blonde hair, finally getting the brush it much deserved, over one shoulder, and tucked it behind her ears. The minute she made the resolve to do something with her day-forget about these past two hours- a whoosh made her turn her head and leap to her feet. A random boy, one she had indeed glanced on her way into this apartment building, stood in her doorway, telling her to get up. She narrowed her eyes. How on earth had he gotten in? She swore that door was locked. A power, perhaps? Raevyn glared at him.

“Does privacy still apply on this planet?”

She hissed, flicking on the main light system with a pale finger. Synthetic, man-made illumination filled the room, and she crossed her arms, cocking her head to study the intruder. He was around her age, short- SHORT- and with dusty brown hair, accentuated with a bizarre white splotch splattered on the side of his head. Dark brown eyes flickered at him.

“What?”

The boy scratched the back of his head. It seemed the girl was an early riser. He despised that fact. Early birds were people he didn't like. But maybe she had an excuse like him. He rolled his eyes as she finally realized he was there. Regarding him with an attitude. One that reminded him slightly of Adailia, or even Cheryl. "Hey, it's not like you're naked, or anything." he replied. Stepping in to the room uninvited. He folded his arms over his chest, in a defensive manner that signaled the door to close, which it complied almost on the spot. It might have looked like the first scenes of a rape about to unfold, but had nothing pertaining to that one his mind. Game smiled slightly, putting his hands behind his head suddenly, and leaned against the wall the door was on, staring at the girl with the white toothed grin on his face. Game's eyes scanned the girl up and down.

Game said, no longer looking at her face, but instead, a more pleasing part of her body - wink wink nudge nudge. "Wow... You're actually kind of hot." he said as in a teasing manner, though he actually did mean it. "Listen..." he began again, his voice now serious as he jammed his hands into his pockets, sucking in air for his long-winded speech. "We need you, Healer... Raevyn. We're going on, well you could call it a rescue mission, you might have heard of it from some of our more talkative roommates. One of our friends... Len. Is missing. And I," he said as if it was suddenly his greatest achievement. "Designed a working spaceship for us to take to find her. Yes, numerous holes in this plan. But, we have someone who can find Len's exact location. If any of the aliens of the UWUC find out, that instantly means that we're going to become alien chow. So, I need you to come quietly, and quickly. Before they have a chance to see what's up and up."

"One more thing. This mission is dangerous, with your powers none of us will get hurt... Hopefully, so. Are you in our out?" He asked knowing he sounded like some old action film asking the anti-hero, or begging her, to come join his cause to 'save the world'.

Raevyn, watching, Game-? yes, that was it, with a hostile stare, took a small step backwards, entirely unused to human contact. Not only had the lack of company over the years made her retreat just a smidge. The fact that the creep closed the mechanical, metallic door behind him, with some strange mind power, contributed to the cause. By his stance, she guessed he wouldn’t have complained if he had busted into her once-private room while she was naked.

Her suspicions were confirmed when he had the utter audacity to stare at her chest. She fumed, and nearly snarled at him, crossing her arms tighter around her body, ‘obscuring’ his view. She said nothing, just sending daggers through her dark eyes. He continued on with this speech about inter-galactic travel, some sort of mission, and UWUC; whatever the hell that was. And he was honestly, straight-faced asking her to come with them? Risk her own life to save strangers? Go and fight aliens for a girl who obviously wasn’t worth saving in the first place? And why, in God’s name, would she do that? She could think of only one reason, thrill. And even that wasn’t enough to off-set the negatives. So the girl, clad in a red tank top and a pair of polka-dotted pajama bottoms, waited for Game to finish, never once softening were icy expression. Maybe she would have been in a better mood if he hadn’t of broken into her locked and sealed apartment. And if he had picked a better time to talk to her.

When he stopped, asking the final question: are you in or are you out? Raevyn uncrossed her arms and replaced them on her hips. “Okay, first of all.” She reached out her hand, incredibly fast, and slapped him. Hard, with her bunched-up muscles, strengthened over months and months of repeated use. It was only then that she smiled. Well, more of a smirk, really, flashing her perfect rows of teeth for a just moment. What a nice red handprint that had caused. “And secondly.” She paused. “Why should I? Risk myself for complete strangers?” What did he expect of her anyways? To happily shake his hand and board the spaceship with an ear-to-ear smile, ready to save this Len girl and the entire universe? Ha-ha. Yeah. He would have to carry her out of here kicking and screaming for that to happen. She looked him up and down, sizing him up. Yeah- she could totally take him.

Game opened his eyes wide as the girls open palm slammed into the side of his face. To his credit, he didn't flinch... Much. He still found the strength to remain standing, rubbing the side of his face that was numb with pain. Ouch! She looked like a goddess but hit like beast. Well... He kind of did deserve, it still didn't make it right. Feeling the warmth on his pale skin where he was sure a mark would be forming. He'd have to explain that one to his 'allies' later. Geez... That smarts. Regaining his composure almost immediately, a half smile formed on Game's lips, she had just asked him a question he had been thinking of since he had come here. "You really didn't want to do that." He murmured, grounding his teeth roughly. He knew that he couldn't fight a girl, not even if he wanted too. This girl was strong and fast, but her power was useless in open combat. Should he have too, this would be his only advantage.

"Why should you risk yourself... Ugh, that's a toughie. One, it's the right thing to do, look into the goodness of your..." he cleared his throat. "Scratch that one. Too cliche. Listen. I just said a perfectly good reason why. If you don't you die. In fact, we all die. And I don't want to die. If you say no again, I will not give up until you are coming along. If not for the thrill or the fun, or even to save someones life. Do it for humanity. I lost my parents when the Earth was destroyed, ah what am I saying. We all lost our parents. We're the only hope for humanity we got. And if we lose one of us, then we might as well give up. The human race needs your help. Your gift... Healing... It's magical, not being able to feel pain for more than few seconds. And yet... You don't want to help anyone. Strange..." he said. He frowned deeply, looking at the girl, her face, not her chest. Wondering if she would heal his cheek. But he doubted that she would.

Yes. Raevyn admittedly enjoyed Game’s dumbstruck expression when she slapped him, even if it only lasted for a second. At least the need to hit somebody was out of her system. Ahha. What a bold-faced lie that was. Still though, she at least checked this boy off of her to-do list. She snorted at his threat, pointedly looking down at him. Her pale eyebrows shot up at his reasons though, surprised at how deep he sounded. She did, however, have to stifle a laugh at the mention of her power being ‘magical’. For the first time, she actually considered what was at stake. What would happen to this planet, Sigma, if what she had heard was correct, if the group was too lose? The aliens would likely come and savagely attack the people living here. Could she bear that kind of damage? Physical and emotional? The alien that had attacked her parents had left a terrible impression on her mind; the vivid details clear as crystal. Would she subject more people to a fate such as that? Slaughtered and possibly eaten?

Raevyn had to hold back a shiver, and she studied Game closely. He seemed earnest enough. She grumbled under her breath, rubbing her temples. “I can’t believe I’m actually going to do this…” And so, taking two steps toward the door, she reached out a hand, over Game’s shoulder, and pressed the code to open the system. It slid forth with a whoosh, and she retracted her hand. Raevyn paused, and on a second thought, touched the tips of her fingers to his cheek, closed her eyes for a brief moment, and then blinked. It immediately returned to a normal color, the swelling subsided, and soon it was just a wisp of a pink flush. “Oh, I think I really did.” She murmured, smirking. She slipped out behind him, and turned around, her expression begrudgingly less hostile than before. More annoyed than anything.

Then the blonde sighed, already regretting what she was going to say. “I'll save you the hassle of dragging me out of here... When are we leaving?” She glanced down at her bottoms. Still pajama pants.

Happiness and exhaustion were the sole emotions Game felt currently. That and his relief that his bluff had not been figured out for the most part. There were only so much weapons he could create from a door, a light, and a monitor. None of them really deadly. He felt slightly minuscule under Raevyn's circumspect glare, she sure liked to scope out her allies... enemies a lot. She had a type of swagger all her own, as if she believed that the world was in the palm of her hand. But he didn't say anything about it. He didn't dare too. If he did, it would most likely turn into an actual brawl. Instead, he listened to Raevyn, only slightly. And was surprised when her hands touched his cheek, for a second he was prepared to duck and run, not wanting another cuff to the cheek. But none came. Instead, it was the cooling effect of healing that washed over him. The stinging pain fading quickly into nothingness.

He couldn't help but shiver, it felt so weird to feel his pain disappearing almost instantly. A grin formed on his faced as the girl final agreed, albeit unenthusiastically. That was much easier than he had thought it would be. He turned slowly to watch her leave, wondering where she was going exactly, ince he was the one with the spaceship. "Leaving... Now." He said quickly, pushing off of the wall he had been standing against. Knowing Raevyn wanted something called 'privacy' to get dressed. He actually felt slightly irritated that Raevyn wasn't ready for the mission, even though she had no warning for this. "Rooftop, ten minutes." he finally said, walking off, in a 'rush'. He still had things of his own to prepare, even though he didn't have much possessions in this strange new world. "Tell nobody." he said, even though he knew that Raevyn wouldn't. She wasn't stupid, at least... That's what he thought.
